PENN STATE ATHLETIC TRAINING GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP POSITIONS

The Pennsylvania State University Sports Medicine Department is seeking highly motivated students interested in pursuing a Master's degree through the Department of Kinesiology at the University Park Campus.  Currently there are four graduate assistant positions available starting in the fall of 2013.  Each position will continue until completion of graduate degree as long as previous years requirements are met. Clinical Assignments will be based on the staffing demands of the varsity sports and recreational programs offered through Intercollegiate Athletics.  The assistantships are ten month assignments, with full tuition waiver and a yearly stipend of $14,000.  Candidates must be BOC certified and eligible for Athletic Training License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Specific Requirements:

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree
  • Regular Admission to the Penn State University Graduate School and the Department of Kinesiology Graduate Program. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and eligible for Athletic Training License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Applicants should have GRE scores (Verbal & Quantitative) each in excess of the 50th percentile; and a minimum undergraduate GPA of a 3.0.  All applications are considered independently.
