OMAHA, Neb. - No. 1 Penn State put the cap on an impressive and record-breaking year by capturing its second-straight National Championship Saturday night in Omaha. The Nittany Lions, a perfect 38-0 on the season, defeated Stanford 3-0 en route to the program's third national championship. Penn State finished the hard-fought match as the victor by scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-23. Stanford took the 3-0 lead to start the match but a Harmotto and Brown block along with two Harmotto kills helped pull Penn State within two at 6-4.
