Penn State Women's Tennis Knocks Off Virginia Tech

Hamilton, Bermuda ¨C The Penn State women's tennis team finished with a split in its spring break trip to Bermuda, topping Virginia Tech, 5-2, Thursday after a loss to Houston earlier in the week.

The Nittany Lions won four of six singles matches to secure enough points, with victories posted by Megan Marton, Leighann Merryman, Judy Wang and Sarah Spence. Maria Husain and Rebecca Ho barely lost their singles matches, both in three sets, to Ines Khelifi and Kristen Stubbs, respectively.

The tandems of Wang and Janelle Perez along with Merryman and Husain also won their doubles matches for the Lions (4-5).
