UNIVERSITY PARK, PA-- The Penn State women’s tennis team will be hosting Marshall, this Sunday, Feb. 11 at 11:00 a.m. This will be the team’s final game in a five game home stand.
Following a 3-0 start on the season, the Nittany Lions picked up two losses this past weekend to move to 3-2 overall.
Marshall is 0-4 on the season and will take on Virginia Tech at home on Friday, Feb. 9 before they travel to play the Nittany Lions.
“Marshall is a team we play each year and I have a lot of respect for what Coach Mercer does with their team,” said head coach Chris Cagle. “Coming out of this past weekend we see some areas that we will look to improve on in our games to get ready for this weekend. We are competing hard which is always expected, now we need to build on that in certain areas to push ahead and win these type of matches. I look forward to the Sunday match.”
Looking ahead, the team will be on the road for the second time when they travel to in-state rival Pittsburgh on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11:00 a.m.
