Penn State Men's and Women's Divers Earn Big Ten Recognition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Nov. 18, 2003) - Junior Adam Pierce (Conroe, Texas) and sophomore Lisa Silvestri (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) were recognized by the Big Ten as the conference's men's and women's Divers-of-the-Week, respectively, for their efforts in Penn State's double-dual meet versus Washington last Friday at McCoy Natatorium.

Pierce earned Diver-of-the-Week accolades after recording two first-place scores against the 14th-ranked Huskies. He posted a score of 345.75 on the one-meter board and he finished with a score of 341.25 on the three-meter board.

Silvestri also recorded two first-place finishes in helping Penn State defeat No. 21 Washington. She recorded scores of 314.40 on the one-meter board and 334.50 on the three-meter.
