State College, Pa. - The No. 15 Penn State women's swimming and diving team kicks off its home dual meet season Friday, November 17, hosting Big Ten foe Purdue at McCoy Natatorium at 6:00 p.m. The Nittany Lions (1-0) defeated Villanova in their opening meet of the season. The team also competed last weekend at the Continental Airlines Classic in Houston, Texas, finishing a close second to conference rival Michigan.

"We're looking forward to our first Big Ten dual meet," head coach Bill Dorenkott said. "Purdue has strong sprint freestyles and relays with good individual stroke events as well. They're 5-0 and coming in with a lot of momentum." The Nittany Lions next host the Nittany Lion Invitational December 1-3 at McCoy Natatorium.
