Pierce Qualifies for Upcoming NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md.; March 11, 2006 ¨C Penn State diver Adam Pierce (Conroe, Texas) scored 352.85 in the 1-meter diving final to win his second Zone A Diving Championship. Alderman finished third with 331.35 points. The competition is being held in Lejeune Hall at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

After six dives in the 3-meter diving final, freshman Courtney Adlam (Ambler, Pa.) finished 17th with a total score of 219.50.

Pierce will compete at the 2006 NCAA Men?s Swimming and Diving Championships in Atlanta, Ga. at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. The Georgia Institute of Technology will host the event March 23-25.
