Jessica Barnes: Barnes, a junior, earned second team All-Big Ten accolades at the 2006 Big Ten Championships. Barnes finished second in the 800 freestyle relay with an NCAA "A" qualifying time of 7:11.59, which beat the previous pool record. She finished eighth in the 200 back (2:00.91) and eleventh in the 500 freestyle (4:51.25). Barnes is making her first career appearance at the NCAA Championships.
Amberle Biedermann: Biedermann, a senior, is a 10-time Big Ten Champion, a seven-time Big Ten record holder and a six-time all-American. She was the 2003 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and she is a three-time first-team all-conference honoree. At the 2005 NCAA Championships, Biedermann finished seventh in the 400- (3:39.58) and 200-yard medley relays (1:40.47). She garnered Big Ten Swimmer of the Week accolades for her first place finishes in the 200 medley (1:46.99) and 400 freestyle relays (3:30.40) against West Chester. She is making her fourth appearance at the NCAA Championships.
Nikki Collins: Collins, a junior, is making her second appearance at the NCAA Championships. At the 2006 Big Ten Championships, she placed second in the 1650 free, capturing an NCAA provisional time of 16:25.79. She finished fourth in the 500 free (4:46.06). Collins garnered second team All-Big Ten honors as well.
Molly Crispell: Crispell, a sophomore, is making her first career appearance at the NCAA Championships. She earned second team All-Big Ten honors at the 2006 Big Ten Championships. She helped the 400 medley relay team place third, earn an NCAA provisional time and beat the previous pool record (3:40.08). Crispell finished second in the 800 freestyle relay with an NCAA "A" qualifying time, beating the previous pool record (7:11.59).
Karie Haglund: Haglund will travel to the NCAA Championships as a freshman. Haglund finished sixth in the 200 butterfly (2:00.84) and 200 IM (2:01.23) at the 2006 Big Ten Championships.
Sarah Haupt: Haupt, a senior, is a nine-time Big Ten Champion, five-time Big Ten record holder and a three-time all-American. She has been named to the all-Big Ten first team four times, including this season when she won the 100 back (:54.04). She finished fifth in the 200 back (2:00.08) and took third in the 100 butterfly (:54.34). She garnered Big Ten Co-swimmer of the Week accolades for her first place finishes in the 100 back (:55.17), 400 medley relay (3:44.68), 200 medley relay (1:43.70) and 400 freestyle relay (3:26.44). Haupt was a 2004 Academic all-Big Ten honoree, and an Academic all-American.
Abby Hoisington: Hoisington, a freshman, is making her first career appearance at the NCAA Championships. She finished third in the 200 breaststroke (2:16.61) at the 2006 Big Ten Championships. She helped the 400 medley relay team place third, earn an NCAA provisional time and beat the previous pool record (3:40.08).
Erin Morris: Morris, a junior, travels to the NCAA Championships for the third time. Morris was a 2005 All-American and earned second team All-Big Ten honors at the 2006 Big Ten Championships and first team All-Big Ten accolades at the 2005 Big Ten Championships. She swam to a second place finish in the 500 free and an NCAA "A" qualifying time (4:44.82). Morris placed second in the 200 back, capturing an NCAA "A" qualifying time (1:57.25). She captured third in the 100 back (:55.12). Morris led the 800 freestyle relay team to a second place finish and an NCAA "A" qualifying time, beating the previous pool record (7:11.59).
Patty Murphy: Murphy travels to the NCAA Championships as a senior, appearing for the first time at the competition. At the 2006 Big Ten Championships, she finished fifth in the 1650 free (16:29.84). Morris placed sixteenth in the 500 free (4:53.87).
Kelly Nelson: Nelson, a freshman, will make her first appearance at the NCAA Championships. She earned second team All-Big Ten honors at the 2006 Big Ten Championships. She captured a second place finish in the 200 butterfly (1:59.32, finished third in the 400 IM (4:15.31) and placed third in the 200 IM (2:00.78).
Kaitlin O¡¯Brien: Only a freshman, O¡¯Brien earned first team All-Big Ten honors for her first place finish in the 400 IM (4:12.03), an NCAA "A" qualifying time. She took fourth in the 200 IM (2:00.98). O¡¯Brien came to Penn State with three New Jersey state titles.
Megan Palera: Palera will make her third appearance at the NCAA Championships as a junior. She took sixth in the 1650 free (16:37.10) and 400 IM (4:18.41) at the 2006 Big Ten Championships.
