Penn State Swimming & Diving Hosts West Chester on Sunday in Final Home Meet

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. ¨C January 31, 2003 ¨C The Penn State men¡¯s and women¡¯s swimming and diving teams will be hosting West Chester on Sunday, February 2 at 12:00 p.m. at McCoy Natatorium.

The meet is the final home competition of the season and nine seniors will be honored.

The men¡¯s team has a 2-2 record and is ranked No. 17 by the CSCAA, while the women are ranked No. 20 by the CSCAA and sport a 3-2 record. Both teams defeated Michigan State last weekend, with the women also beating Indiana.

Head Coach Bill Dorenkott stated, ¡°The West Chester contest will be a great opportunity to showcase our seniors in their last appearance in the McCoy Natatorium.

The seniors who are being honored at the meet are: Eugene Botes (Thorton, Pa.), Jaffrey Clark (Malvern, Pa.), Erik Gordon (Seattle, Wash.), Matt Haupt (Carlisle, Pa.), Katie Hostetler (Chambersburg, Pa.), Susan Janoski (Exeter, Pa.), Conor MacDonald (Omaha, Neb.), Jaime Ryan (Newton, Conn.), and Lindsey Wilson (Novelty, Ohio).

Both teams are in action on Saturday, February 1 at Rutgers (1:00 p.m.) before returning home to face West Chester on Sunday.
