Penn State Swimmers Set To Compete At Matt Gribble Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. (Jan. 5, 2005) - The Penn State men's and women's swimming teams will end their short winter break when they compete in the inaugural Matt Gribble Invitational 11 a.m. Friday at the Norman Whitten Student Union Pool on the campus of the University of Miami.

The Nittany Lions, who were last in action Dec. 2-4 at the Auburn Invite, will take on teams from Florida, Michigan State, Miami, Colorado State, FIU and Vassar College in the one-day event. Penn State has been training over the holidays in Naples, Fla.

Upon completion of the Matt Gribble Invitational, both the men and women, who are ranked 14th in the latest CSCAA poll, will be off until they hold Senior Day versus Rutgers 1 p.m. Jan. 22.
