Enjoyed an impressive freshman campaign, highlighted by 12 "NCAA B" times, among the most on the team ... Season best time in the 200 freestyle relay came at the Last Chance Meet (2/28), with a school-record time of 1:30.27. Also swam the 50 freestyle ... Peaked at the Big Ten Championships (2/17-20) which included numerous season bests - 50 freestyle (sixth, 22.87, preliminary), 100 freestyle (20th, 50.49, preliminary), 100 backstroke (16th, 55.13, preliminary), 200 freestyle relay (sixth, 1:31.13), 400 freestyle relay (eighth, 3:21.24), 200 medley relay (eighth, 1:41.62) and 400 medley relay (eighth, 3:42.86). Had an NCAA B time in all but one of her events at Big Ten's ... Won the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.42), finished second in the 50 freestyle (23.43), 400 freestyle relay (3:23.52), 200 medley relay (1:43.96) and 400 medley relay (3:47.31) and placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (51.59) as impressive win over nationally-ranked Ohio State (1/29-30) ... Strong at the Pittsburgh Quad Meet (1/15-16), winning the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.39), finishing second in the 400 freestyle relay (3:26.16) and 200 medley relay (1:45.21), third in the 50 freestyle (23.77), fourth in the 400 medley relay (3:52.51) and 10th in the 100 freestyle (52.69) ... Won the 400 freestyle relay (3:26.40), placed second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.34), third in the 200 medley relay (1:45.97), fifth in the 100 backstroke (58.11) and ninth in the 100 freestyle (52.77) in the first home meet against Virginia (11/20-21) ... Won the 200 medley relay (1:44.55), was second in the 400 freestyle relay (3:25.52), third in the 100 backstroke (57.65) and fifth in the 100 freestyle (52.67) at Virginia Tech (10/31) ... Was part of first-place 400 freestyle relay (3:25.49) and 400 medley relay (3:48.92) teams against West Virginia/Colgate (10/24) while also finishing third in the 50 freestyle (23.90) ... Finished first in the 50 freestyle (24.68) and 200 medley relay (1:50.74) against St. Bonaventure (10/13) while also coming in second in the 100 freestyle (54.36).
Lettered four years in swimming and water polo at Souderton Area High School ... In both sports, was team captain and MVP senior year while winning the coach's award as a junior (swimming) ... Her squad was league champion all four years ... Was a District I finalist as a junior and Team PA District I Champion and State Finalist as a senior ... In water polo, was First Team All-State as a senior while earning second team a year prior ... Also won honorable mention as a sophomore and made the All State Freshman Team in first season ... Most memorable moment came in winning the 50 free State Championship ... Also a 2009 PA State Champion and state record holder in the 100 back, 200 free relay and 400 free relay ... Was an 11-time All-American swimmer ... A Pennsylvania District 1 Champion in the 50 free (2009), 200 medley relay (2009), 200 free relay (2008-09) and 100 back (2007-08) ... Was a junior coach for the Harleysville Swim for final two years of high school ... Participated in the Suburban Aquatic League, becoming an individual league champion and record holder as a junior and senior ... Was student council treasurer for three years, Principal's Advisory Council for two, while being named SAHS Best Female Athlete (2009) and Indianettes Outstanding Athlete ... Other awards include: the prestigious Triangle Club Student Athlete Award and Excellence in Family and Consumer Science Award ... Also participated in gymnastics - was a competitor for seven years in levels five through nine (second through eighth grades).
