Incredible freshman season capped off by swimming to honorable mention All-America status in the 200 backstroke, finishing 16th with a time of 1:56.19. That followed strong preliminary time of 1:54.88 ... Also competed in the 200 IM (2:01.78, preliminary) and 400 IM (4:15.03, preliminary) at NCAA's. Was the only Nittany Lion to qualify for the NCAA Championships ... Overall, swam to 21 "NCAA B" times to lead the team. Also broke three pool records and a school record ... Career best time in the 200 backstroke (1:54.02) in the Last Chance Meet. That time also marked a Penn State program record ... Strong showing at the Big Ten Championships - finishing seventh in the 200 backstroke (1:56.62, preliminary), 13th in the 200 IM (2:01.51), seventh in the 400 IM (4:15.13, preliminary) and seventh in the 800 medley relay (7:15.21) ...
