Four-year letterwinner swimming at Walsh Jesuit H.S. for head coach Wally Lutkus … State champion as a sophomore in the 100 breaststroke and on a relay as a junior … State qualifier and medalist in breaststroke, IM and sprint freestyle events throughout all four years … Reached the ‘C’ Final of the 50-meter breaststroke at the 2017 Philips 66 U.S. National Championships … Placed eighth in the 100m breast at the 2016 Speedo Junior Nationals … Swam for Firestone Akron Swim Team for head coach Cindy Virdo Dial … Helped lead high school to four conference championships … Named Team MVP as a sophomore and captain as a senior … Earned school’s “Unsung Warrior” award for sportsmanship … Named an Academic All-American and Honors Merit Scholar and inducted into National Honor Society … Wrote for school newspaper, contributed to school art magazine and was a leader on a four-day long religious retreat called Kairos … Volunteered with Special Olympics and Humane Society and also served as a nursing home, homeless shelter and rescue shelter volunteer.
