UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; November 7, 2006- Penn State head softball coach Robin Petrini completed her third marathon over the weekend when she crossed the finish line at the ING New York City Marathon. The marathon marks the third race the Nittany Lion leader has finished including her previous races in New Orleans and San Francisco.

Entering her 12th season as Penn State's head coach this year, Petrini has tallied over 350 programs wins. Her teams have qualified for six of the last seven NCAAs Tournaments and seven of the last eight Big Ten Tournaments.

The Nittany Lions begin their 2007 season in mid-January.
