TORRANCE, Calif. - Incoming freshman pitcher Lisa Akamine (Escondido, Calif.) has been named to the first team EA Sports High School All-American squad. Akamine will join the 2009 Penn State softball team as a pitcher but was honored as a multi-purpose player.

Akamine had a 0.20 ERA and lost only one game in the circle for Escondido. She also had a .420 batting average with 26 RBIs. She was also named the CIF San Diego Section Player of the Year in 2008.
