Letters from the Windy City No. 6: Beseres Works to Overcome Injury, Chicago Bandits in First Place
More Letters from the Windy City
Greetings Happy Valley, Many exciting things have been happening here in Chicago since the last posting. The Bandits are in first place in the league with a record of 22-4. After the New England series back in June, I had an overuse injury in my shoulder and I haven¡¯t been on the field since. After long hours of rehab, icing, and rest I¡¯ve started to pitch again! Our doctors and trainers here are outstanding in every aspect of their jobs. They really are the ones that have helped me get back to the field so quickly. Today is the first day I am able to throw in the bullpen. I¡¯m hoping to get in an inning or so this weekend. This weekend we are playing the USA World University Team. Not to be confused with the USA National Team. The World University Team is comprised of players who still have college eligibility left as well as recent graduates. We have two weeks of home games left here at Benedictine University. Then we are on the road for a week playing our final two series at Akron, Ohio and Allentown, Pennsylvania (August 13-16). Nittany Lion fans, I hope to see you out at the ballpark! Game time, let¡¯s go Bandits! More to come¡ For the Glory, Missy
