UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State softball program and head coach Amanda Lehotak will host two camps this summer. The first camp will take place from June 15-18 and the second will run from July 13-16. Both camps are open to students entering grades 8-12 as well as recent graduates who are not currently enrolled in college. Registration is currently open at GoPSUsports.com/camps.

Penn State Girls Softball Camps are designed to provide athletes with the opportunity to learn some of the same drills and skills that the PSU players utilize to develop their game under the tutelage of the Nittany Lion coaching staff as well as other college coaches. Emphasis will be placed on batting, pitching, fielding and position development in a fun and competitive environment.

Lectures, demonstrations and drill sessions will be held daily where campers receive individual attention and encouragement. There will also be special sessions on strength training, nutrition, conditioning and sport psychology. All campers will receive a camp shirt with their registration fee.

Campers should bring all softball gear including bats, helmets, a glove, cleats and sneakers. In addition, catchers must bring their own shin guards, chest protectors and masks.

For more information, please contact Penn State Sports Camps at (814) 865-8883 or visit GoPSUsports.com/camps.
