State College, Pa., April 9, 2000 - Today's scheduled softball game between Penn State and Purdue has been cancelled due to a combination of cold temperatures and bitter wind chills in the State College, Pa., area. The game will not be rescheduled.

The Lions are currently 21-8 overall and 3-0 in Big Ten play and have won their last nine games overall.

Penn State is scheduled to return to action at Nittany Lion Field on Wednesday afternoon (April 12) when it hosts a doubleheader with Kent State beginning at 3:00 p.m.
