LIONS OPEN AT HOME: The Nittany Lions open the home slate and Big Ten action this week. Penn State's game with the Red Flash was rescheduled to Wednesday because of cold weather. The Lions are 24-10 in home openers (game one of doubleheaders) and have not lost the first game of the home season since 1995. Penn State will also open the Big Ten season on Friday against Northwestern. The Lions are 2-6 in Big Ten openers (game one of doubleheaders). The Lions will face Wildcats in a doubleheader on Friday and defending regular season champion Iowa in singles games on Saturday and Sunday.
