Penn State played Virginia Tech & South Florida at the USF Softball Stadium on Mar. 9, 2012.

Four-year Nittany Lion (2011-14) and 2012 second team All-Big Ten honoree Kasie Hatfield joins the Penn State softball team as a volunteer assistant in 2015.

The native of Tampa, Fla., brings 190 games in the Blue and White and a .245 batting average to the Lions. Hatfield capped off her career with a .309 batting average and .493 slugging percentage.

Hatfield is currently majoring in animal sciences at Penn State with the intention of going to veterinary school.
