Another multi-sport athlete, Collett earned seven varsity letters spanning softball, basketball and golf at El Modena. She was a catcher and designated hitter with softball. An excellent student, Collett earned scholar-athlete honors all four years as well as the presidential award. She also played on the TeamSmith 18 Gold team for head coach Julie Smith.

Danee Jane Collett was born on March 30, 1990 in Anaheim, Calif. She is the daughter of Dan and Tara Collett. She has an older brother, Austin, and an older sister, Chelsey. Austin played football for two years at Santa Ana College and one year at Sacramento State. She lists going to the beach, skimboarding, surfing, swimming, going to the movies, camping and hiking as hobbies.
