STATE COLLEGE, Pa., July 12, 2001 - Senior Brooke Bailey (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division I Academic Squad. Student-Athletes named to the IWLCA Academic Squad must have at least a 3.2 grade point average, be a starter or an important reserve on the team and hold a junior or senior academic standing.

Bailey started in 12 games last year, as the Lions made a first round NCAA Tournament appearance. She tallied a goal, six assists and 24 ground balls in 18 games.

Bailey is an advertising and public relations major at Penn State.

The 2000 Nittany Lions were 8-10 overall and lost to Dartmouth, 9-7, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
