DeCecco and O'Hara Honored by 360Lacrosse.com
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., June 19, 2001 - Junior Alison DeCecco (Newtown Square, Pa.) and sophomore Colleen O'Hara (Ardmore, Pa.) were named third team 360Lacrosse.com All-Americans which was announced recently. DeCecco earns the honor after already being named honorable mention All-American by the United States Lacrosse Foundation and was picked Mid-Atlantic All-Region as well. A starter in every game this season, the defender was second on the team in groundballs with 30 and third in caused turnovers at 11. She also registered 18 goals. O'Hara led the team in scoring (52) and assists (19), and was second on the squad with 33 goals. Starting every game for the Nittany Lions on attack, she was also selected first team All-Mid-Atlantic Region. Penn State was 8-10 during the 2001 campaign and made a trip to the NCAA Tournament, losing to Dartmouth, 9-7, in the first round.
