Jenn Webb Named U.S. Lacrosse All-American
State College, Pa., May 31, 2000 - Penn State's Jenn Webb (Shaker Heights, Ohio) has been named to the U.S. Division I All-American Teams which were announced today. Webb, a senior midfielder, earned honorable mention All-America honors. The team captain, who has appeared in every Penn State lacrosse game since the beginning of the 1997 season, finished second in team scoring with 45 goals, 13 assists and 58 points. She tallied the 100th goal of her collegiate career versus Vanderbilt. Selected to the NCAA all-tournament team at the 1999 final four, Webb also served as president of PSU's Student Athlete Advisory Board. "Jenn is a leader both on and off the field," Penn State head coach Karen Schnellenbach said. "Her passion for the game was evident in every match she played." The honor is the second All-America team she has been named to this year after previously being selected to the 2000 Brine/Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-America teams. Penn State finished the 2000 campaign 8-9 overall and ranked No. 14 nationally.
