Maslin Named ALC Player of the Week
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., April 28, 2005 -- Junior women's lacrosse player Shari Maslin (New City, N.Y.) was named the American Lacrosse Conference (ALC) Player of the Week after leading Penn State with six goals on eight shots in two important league wins over Ohio State and Ohio last weekend.
Versus the Buckeyes on April 22, Maslin posted a goal and an assist with two ground balls. Against the Bobcats on April 24, Maslin caught fire, scoring five goals on seven shots and adding an assist while also collecting a team-high four ground balls and causing two turnovers.
For the weekend, Maslin scored six goals and recorded two assists for eight points to go along with her team-high six ground balls, one draw control and two caused turnovers.
For the year, Maslin has 25 goals and 13 assists for 38 points. She also has 20 ground balls, 17 draw controls and six caused turnovers.
