No. 10 Women's Lacrosse Travels To No. 11 Johns Hopkins Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., April 27, 2005 -- The 10th-ranked Penn State women's lacrosse team (10-4, 4-1 ALC) travels to No. 11 Johns Hopkins (10-4, 3-2 ALC) for a crucial American Lacrosse Conference (ALC) match-up on Saturday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. in a contest that will be televised live on CSTV.

Penn State Versus Johns Hopkins
Penn State leads the series with Johns Hopkins, 3-0. The last meeting was a 12-9 Nittany Lion win on May 1, 2004 in State College, Pa. The last meeting in Baltimore was an 11-4 Penn State victory on April 7, 2003.

Victorious Over Ohio
The Nittany Lions came away with two victories over the state of Ohio last weekend, defeating Ohio State 6-4 on April 22 and downing Ohio 17-8 on April 24. The Nittany Lions have now won four of their last five games and have outscored their opponents in those winning contest, 49-26.

Wins A-Plenty
The victory over Ohio on April 24th gave Penn State its 10th win of the season, the highest number under head coach Suzanne Isidor, who took over for the 2001 season. The Nittany Lions are also looking for their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2001.
