Penn State Women's Lacrosse to Play Final Regular Season Home Game
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., April 23, 2002 -- The Penn State women's lacrosse team will play its final regular season home contest on Wednesday, April 24 when it takes on Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. at Jeffrey Field. Penn State is 6-7 on the season and ranked 15th in the latest IWLCA Coaches Poll while the Hoyas are ranked second in the nation with a 12-1 record. Penn State is coming off of a successful weekend against American Lacrosse Conference foes Davidson and Northwestern. The Lions defeated Davidson on Friday night, 13-5 and downed NU by a score of 13-10 on Sunday. The Lions are 3-0 on Jeffrey Field this season, also defeating then-third ranked Loyola 10-9 on April 6. Admission to the contest is free and the first 100 fans through the gates get a coupon for a free six-inch sub from Subway. --LIONS--
