UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., March 31, 2005 -- The seventh-ranked Penn State women's lacrosse team (6-3, 2-0 ALC) travels to Baltimore on Saturday to face Loyola (3-5) at 1:00 p.m.

Loyola leads the series with Penn State, 11-8. The last meeting was a 10-9 Greyhound win on April 3, 2004 in State College. The last Nittany Lion victory was a 10-9 win on April 6, 2002 in State College. The last Penn State win in Baltimore was a 7-6 victory on March 17, 1993.
Hot Sticks
The Nittany Lions are averaging 14.15 goals per game through eight games while holding their opponents to a 8.44 goals per game average. Penn State has scored 115 goals so far this season compared to 77 for its opponents. The lowest total of goals that the Nittany Lions have scored so far this season is five in the 6-5 loss to Temple on March 22. Twelve different Penn State players have recorded at least one goal this season led by junior Lori Havrilla with 23.

Penn State¡¯s success on the offensive end is no doubt aided by the fact that the Nittany Lions lead their opponents in draw controls, 120 to 87. Sophomore Lindsay Dutch tops the Penn State squad with 23 draws and senior Emily Chambers has hauled in 19 draws.
