Penn State Women's Lacrosse Falls to Temple, 18-14

PHILADELPHIA, March 26, 2002 -- The 11th-ranked Penn State women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference game to Temple, 18-14, Tuesday afternoon in Philadelphia. Junior attack Colleen O'Hara (Ardmore, Pa.) scored four goals for the Nittany Lions in the loss. Penn State falls to 3-4 on the season.

Also scoring for the Lions in the loss was sophomore Katie Jeschke (Ellicott City, Md.) with three goals. Sophomore Jamie Donahue (Oreland, Pa.) and senior Alison DeCecco (Newtown Square, Pa.) recorded two tallies and seniors Brooke Bailey (Wallingford, Pa.), Molly Ford (Trenton, N.J.) and Katie Schiller (West Chester, Pa.) each recorded one mark in the loss.

Goalkeepers Lee Tortorelli (Havertown, Pa.) and Andrea Sorgi (Norwell, Mass.) combined for eight saves for Penn State.

The Lions travel to Maryland on Friday, March 29 at 7:00 p.m. The contest will be broadcast over Penn State's official website, www.GoPSUsports.com. Penn State will then take on the Tarheels of North Carolina in College Park, Md., on Sunday, March 31 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
