UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Feb. 26, 2004 - The 10th-ranked Penn State women¡¯s lacrosse team travels to Nashville to open up its 2004 season against 16th-ranked Vanderbilt on Sunday, Feb. 29 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Vanderbilt enters the contest with a 0-1 record after falling to third-ranked Virginia, 14-10, on Feb. 22.

Penn State leads the series with the Commodores, 4-2. The last meeting was a 12-11 Nittany Lion win on March 1, 2003 in State College, Pa. The last meeting in Nashville was a 7-6 Vanderbilt win on March 2, 2003. The last two meeting with the Commodores have been season openers for the Nittany Lions.

The Nittany Lions¡¯ home opener is on Saturday, March 6 against Davidson at 1:00 p.m.
