Women's Hockey vs. RIT (10/25/12)

Penn State women's hockey took on RIT in a CHA matchup on Oct. 25, 2012 at Greenberg Ice Pavilion.

Made 27 starts (6-19-2) and ranked second in Division I with 1,028 saves, while posting a .928 save percentage and 3.11 goals-against average...Ranked ninth nationally in save percentage...Notched five games with 50 or more saves and 12 games with at least 40 saves...Named the Penn State most valuable player by the coaching staff...Won first Penn State outing, stopping 31 shots in a historic 5-3 win at Vermont (10/6) in the team's inaugural game...Saved 53 shots against Syracuse (10/13)...Made a then career-high 59 saves in a gritty 2-2 tie with RIT (11/2)...Stopped 49 shots against Robert Morris (11/11)...Saved 28 shot in a 3-2 win over Lindenwood (11/17)...Made career-high and program-best 64 saves in a loss at Mercyhurst (12/1)...Saved 54 shots against St. Lawrence (12/8)...Stopped 45 Syracuse (1/25) shots, while allowing just one goal...Saved 40 or more shots in six straight games against Mercyhurst (46; 2/2), Lindenwood (42; 2/8, 44; 2/9), RIT (42; 2/15, 41; 2/16) and Robert Morris (59; 2/22)...Allowed only one goal in a tough 1-0 loss in the CHA First Round at RIT (3/1)...Saved 54 Tiger shots at RIT (3/2) in a 3-2 overtime loss in the CHA First Round.

At UConn 2011-12: Started 16 of 18 games with a .926 save percentage...Played in all four of UConn's victories with a 4-10-3 record...Posted two shutouts against Maine (10/22) with 31 saves and Vermont (11/20) with 28 saves...Allowed just one goal on 28 shots in a victory over Yale (11/26)...Made 37 saves against Brown (1/7) in a 1-1 overtime tie...Stopped 37 shots in a 1-1 tie against Maine (1/20)...Earned the victory over New Hampshire (2/5) with 20 saves.

At UConn 2010-11: Made six appearances with five starts in net for the Huskies...Recorded 129 saves with a .915 save percentage and a 3-2-0 record...Notched a pair of shutouts against Sacred Heart (11/27) and at Union (12/8)...Posted a career-high 32 saves at Providence (2/12)...Tallied at least 20 saves in three other games; 26 vs. Robert Morris (1/9), 21 at Syracuse (10/16) and 21 vs. Sacred Heart (11/27).

Helped Appleby College win the CISAA Championships for the second-consecutive season and take silver at the NAPHA Championship series in 2009-10...Captured the NAPHA title in 2008-09 and was awarded the Parker Jacket for athletic achievement and excellence...Invited to the Team Canada Selections Camps in 2008-09 and 2009-10...Played for Team Ontario Red in 2009-10, leading the squad to the Gold Medal at the Canadian U18 National Championships...Played the two previous seasons (2007-09) with Team Ontario Blue...Took gold with the Toronto Aeros at the Provincial Championships (Intermediate AA)...Led the team to a second-place regular season finish while ranking third in goals-against average (1.20) and in save-percentage (.939)...Was named the MVP in the final game of the Can-Am Junior Hockey Challenge in 2009...Won bronze and silver with Aeros at the Provnicial and PWHL League Championships, respectively...Earned MVP honors at the Mississauga Junior Chiefs Christmas Tournament after recording three shouts...Spent one season with the Oakville Ice during the 2006-07 season at the age of 13...Named Team MVP by General Manager and Coach with 1.87 GAA.
