Personett Scores 39.100 In NCAA Women¡¯s Gymnastics Championship All-Around
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 26, 2007 ¨C Penn State freshman women¡¯s gymnast Brandi Personett (Katy, Texas) finished ninth in the all-around with a score of 39.100 in the second session of the NCAA Women¡¯s Gymnastics Championships Thursday night in Salt Lake City. Personett, who was rotating with Utah, opened up the meet with a bye before moving to floor, recording a 9.825 to finish 11th in the session. On vault in the third rotation, she posted a 9.775 and following a bye in the fourth rotation, she posted scores of 9.775 and 9.725 on bars and beam, respectively. Personett advanced to the Championship competition as one of 12 Regional Championship all-arounders not on an automatically qualifying team. She placed second overall in the all-around at the NCAA North Central Regional Championships on April 14 in Denver, Colo., with a career-high-tying 39.425.
