Penn State WomenĄŻs Gymnast Lisa Clark Earns Second Team All-America Honors




UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., April 16, 2004 -- Penn State womenĄŻs gymnast Lisa Clark (Philadelphia, Pa.) earned second team All-America honors after finishing seventh on the vault in the first session of the NCAA National Championships in Los Angeles. The junior was the lone Penn State representative and posted a 9.875 to tie for seventh on the vault and also scored a 9.525 on the floor.

For the season, Clark had the highest team average on vault with a 9.870. She recorded at least a 9.875 in each of the final six meets of the season, including her career-high and first place 9.950 at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships to send her to the NCAA National Championships. She also recorded a 9.900 on the floor at the Northeast Regionals to advance to Nationals.
