No. 15 Women¡¯s Gymnastics Heads To No. 21 Arkansas

University Park, Pa., Jan. 31, 2006 ¨C The 15th-ranked Penn State women¡¯s gymnastics team hits the road for the second consecutive week, facing No. 21 Arkansas on Friday, Feb. 4 at 7:00 p.m. CT in Fayetteville, Ark., at Barnhill Arena. Series Records
This will be the first regular-season meeting between Penn State and Arkansas in the sport of women¡¯s gymnastics.

Last Time Out
Penn State dropped its first road meet of the season, falling to Minnesota, 193.500 to 194.175, last weekend in Minneapolis. The Nittany Lions recorded scores of 48.400 on vault, 48.500 on bars, 48.050 on beam and 48.550 on floor.

Senior Jennifer Orlando was Penn State¡¯s top finisher in the all-around, scoring a 38.600 for third place. Senior Lisa Clark finished second on vault with a 9.775 as freshman Katie Perret claimed her first collegiate event title with a first-place 9.775 on bars. Junior Corissa Pirkl posted a 9.700 to finish fifth on beam and Clark took home her first event title of the season with a 9.775 on floor.

The Nittany Lions return home for their final contest at Rec Hall on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:00 p.m., against Rutgers, Nebraska and Yale. The meet will be Senior Night, honoring Lisa Clark, Meredith Hoover, Michelle Ilg and Jennifer Orlando.
