Penn State Women's Gymnastics Home Opener Saturday
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The No. 16 Penn State women's gymnastics team will host No. 23 New Hampshire on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. in Rec Hall in the squad's first home meet of the season. The Nittany Lions are currently 1-0 overall on the season following a 194.825-194.650 win at Illinois last Saturday. Penn State holds a 14-5 advantage over New Hampshire in the all-time series between the schools, although the Lions dropped their last meeting versus the Wildcats, which came in last year's season opener. The Nittany Lions opened the 2001 campaign with a sixth-place showing at the prestigious Super Six Challenge on January 6. New Hampshire is currently 1-0 overall as it opened the season with a win over Rutgers and a first-place finish in a four-team meet that featured Arizona, North Carolina State and James Madison. Tickets are available for all of the women's gymnastics team's home competitions this season. Prices for tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children. Penn State students are admitted free with a student ID.
