University Park, Pa., Jan. 11, 2006 ¨C The Penn State women¡¯s gymnastics team opens up the 2006 season on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 7:00 p.m., hosting No. 5 Alabama and Arizona at Rec Hall. The meet is the first of only three home events for the Nittany Lions this season.

Tickets will be available at the door and are $5 for adults, $3 for youth and senior citizens and $2 per person in groups of 10 or more. Penn State students are free with their ID.

The first 1,000 fans through the door will take home a 2006 Penn State women¡¯s gymnastics schedule magnet and a 2006 team posted will be available for all fans. If the Nittany Lions win the meet, everyone in attendance will receive a coupon good for one free eight-inch sub from Jimmy Johns with the purchase of chips and a drink.

New this season is the ¡°Best Seat In The House.¡± Wolf Furniture has donated a couch to be placed near the action on the floor. Fans are encouraged to register when entering Rec Hall and one lucky fan and two friends will be selected to watch the action from the Best Seat In The House.
