The 13th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team opens the 2008 slate with a road contest at Pittsburgh with Kent State on Friday, Jan. 11 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The meet will be held at Fitzgerald Field House on the University of Pittsburgh campus. The Series: Penn State vs. Pittsburgh
Penn State leads Pittsburgh, 39-2, in a series that began in 1966. The last meeting was a 195.075-192.825 Nittany Lion victory on Feb. 10, 2007 in University Park, Pa. The last meeting in Pittsburgh was a 196.400-189.750 Penn State win on March 18, 2006.

The Series: Penn State vs. Kent State
Penn State trails Kent State, 4-10, in a series that began in 1965. The last meeting was a 195.625-192.275 Nittany Lion victory on Feb. 3, 2006 at West Virginia.

The Nittany Lions return home to host Big Ten rival Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Rec Hall. The contest will be televised by the Big Ten Network and air on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
