Meghan Shanfelter Class: Junior Hometown: Fort Myers, Fla. High School: Canterbury Position: Manager

Meghan Shanfelter begins her third season with the Penn State women's gymnastics team and will serve as the team manager. A native of Fort Myers, Fla., Shanfelter is a sophomore majoring in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis on Sports Broadcasting.

Shanfelter was involved with gymnastics for 15 years and after injuries cut her career short, she became involved in other ways to stay involved with the sport.

"I really enjoy being in the gym and seeing the team succeed," said Shanfelter. "I like helping them out with anything they ask me to do, because I know I am contributing and helping them out, even if in a small way. It's a great program and I feel very honored to be able to be a part of it."
