Club Gym: Trained at New England Gymnastics Express Too under coaches Maureen Chagnon and Blane Jefferson...Junior Olympic National Championships: 2017 – Tied for ninth on bars and placed 10th on the floor...2016 – Finished sixth in the all-around and took eighth on the uneven bars...2015 – Placed 10th on the vault and finished 17th in the all-around...Level 10 Regional: 2017 – Took first on the uneven bars and all-around, second on vault and floor, and fourth on the balance beam...Had the highest all-around score in the entire competition...2016 – Took first on the floor, uneven bars, and vault, while finishing second in the all-around...2015 – Finished second on the vault, third on the uneven bars and floor, and took fourth in the all-around...2014 – Qualified for the regional meet...2013 – Silver medalist on the vault...Level 10 State: 2017 – Took first on the vault, uneven bars, and the all-around while finishing third on floor and fourth on beam...2016 – Finished first on the vault and uneven bars, while placing third on the floor and in the all-around...2015 – Won the floor and vault, along with finishing second in the all-around...2014 – Took home the vault title.
Born Alissa Bonsall in Hartford, Connecticut, on February 16, 1999...Daughter of Stephanie and Dave Bonsall...Has three siblings, two older sisters, Jennifer Kohlhepp and Marianne (Annie) Bonsall, and a younger brother David Bonsall...Lists going boating, and spending time with friends outside as her hobbies, bulgogi (Korean barbecue steak) as her favorite food...Says “Tuesdays with Morrie” is her favorite book and “The Blindside” as her favorite movie, Canada is her favorite place to visit and her favorite musicial group is the Zac Brown Band...Majoring in biomedical engineering.

"I chose Penn State because I grew up with the phrase 'We Are...' throughout my family. Both my mom and dad are graduates of Penn State as well as many other family members. So, I can say that Penn State is in my blood. Throughout the recruiting process, Penn State was the one school that had everything I was looking for.
