Penn State Women's Golf Team Finishes 12th at Landfall Tradition
WILMINGTON, N.C. (Oct. 31, 2004) - Senior Lauren Lundy (Wayne, Pa.) carded a final-round 7-over-par 79 to pace the Penn State women's golf team as the Nittany Lions finished 12th at Landfall Tradition at the Par-72, 6,034 layout at the Country Club of Landfall-Nicklaus. Penn State wrapped up its final fall event with a 316-306-310=932. The Nittany Lions will next hit the links when they travel to compete at the Puerto Rico Classic Feb. 20-23 in Dorado Resort, Puerto Rico. Lundy finished 40th with a 80-72-79=231. New Mexico won the event with a 297-285-296=878. UNC Wilmington was second with 300-290-291=881, Tulane (303-281-299=883) and Ohio State (299-299-285=883) tied for third and Tennessee took fifth (291-295-298=884). Junior Katrin Wolfe (Johnstown, Pa.) finished 46th with a 79-74-82=235, junior Amber Weinerth (Auburn, N.Y.) took 49th with 79-82-75=236, sophomore Betsy Houseman (Chattanooga, Tenn.) tied Weinerth in 49th with 78-81-77=236 and sophomore Evelyn Paik (Toronto, Ontario) took 58th with 88-79-79=246.
