UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; October 25, 2006 - The Penn State women¡¯s golf team will make their final tournament appearance for the fall season this coming weekend. The Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNC-Wilmington, will begin Friday, October 27 and conclude on Sunday, October 29.

The Nittany Lions will be one of the 12 teams at the Country Club of Landfall¡¯s 72 par, 6,115 yard course. Currently ranked 60th, the Nittany Lions will see tough competition against other talented teams- four of whom are ranked in the top 25.

In the most recent tournament, the Mercedes-Benz Championship, the Nittany Lions were led by senior Maggie Lester (Oswego, N.Y.), who finished tied for 15th place overall. The team has also seen strong finishes from senior Evelyn Paik (Toronto, Ont.), who finished the Nittany Lion Invitational in first place earlier this season.

Tee times will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Live scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com.
