UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State women's golf player Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy) had a special achievement at the Badger Invitational in Wisconsin this past weekend.

During Saturday's first round, Carando shot her first-ever hole-in-one on the par three 17th hole from 174 yards with a three iron.

"It was awesome," said Carando. "I had a really good shot. It just landed, took the slope and went in. I really didn't expect it but it was really exciting. It definitely made my day."
