Columbus, Ohio, September 28, 2003 - The Penn State women¡¯s golf team shot 967 (+103) over three rounds at the 15-team Lady Northern Invitational this weekend at the Scarlet Course at Ohio State.

The Nittany Lions finished tied for 13th overall with Iowa. Penn State posted its best score of the tournament with an opening round 320 before carding 324 and 323 over the final 36 holes.

Texas claimed the team title with a score of 893 (298-297-298) (+29). Host-school Ohio State placed second at 895 (291-300-304) (+31).

Freshman Katrin Wolfe (Johnstown, Pa.) led Penn State individually as she shot 78-81-79 - 238 (+7) over 54 holes to tie for 38th overall.

Penn State returns to the links on Oct. 11-12 when they host the Nittany Lion Invitational at the Penn State Blue Course.
