(UNIVERSITY PARK, PA) May 15, 2006 - Penn State golfer Maggie Lester (Oswego, N.Y.) finished the 2005-06 season as one of the Nittany Lions¡¯ top competitors. After four rounds of golf at the Big Ten Championships, Lester carded a final score of 73-77-75-77-302 and tied for 13th place overall. She was named to the All Big Ten Second Team.

Lester competed in every tournament this season, and led the Nittany Lions in more than one. She was the overall individual champion at the 2005 Nittany Lion Invitational, where she carded a par 144 on the Blue Course at Penn State. Her best showing of the season came at the Northwestern Invitational, held in early April in Palm Springs, California. Lester scored 72-73-75-220 and finished in a tie at 14th place.
