STATE COLLEGE, Pa. ¨C The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee recently announced the teams and individuals selected to play in this year¡¯s Regional championships. Penn State women¡¯s golfer Katie Futcher (Woodlands, Tex.) was selected as an individual qualifier for the NCAA East Regional in Baton Rouge, La.

In all, 21 teams and three individuals were selected to play in the East Regional. Futcher was the top ranked golfer not on a qualifying team, earning her an individual bid.

The junior has been Penn State¡¯s top golfer all season, winning three tournaments and finishing in the top ten in eight out the ten tournaments she competed.
