Nittany Lions Improve to Ninth Place in Big Ten Tournament
EAST LANSING, Mich.; April 27, 2007 - The Nittany Lions finished the second day of the Big Ten tournament in ninth place with a third round score of 311. Wisconsin is two shots behind of Penn State going into the final day of the competition.
Senior Evelyn Paik (Toronto, Ontario) leads the Nittany Lions with a score of 235. She shot an impressive one-over 73 in the third round. Christin Pacacha (Williamsport, Pa.) improved her score from day one and shot five-over 77 in the third round.
Leading the tournament is Michigan State with a total score of 890. Purdue is 23 shots behind, in second place. Individually, Rachel Meikle of Michigan State leads the competition with a score of 213.
The third and final day of the Big Ten Tournament will be held on Sunday, April 29. Results can be found at www.golfstat.com .
