Women's Golf Tied in Tenth Place After First Day of Big Ten Tournament

East Lansing, Mich.; April 27, 2007- After the first two round of the Big Ten Tournament, the Nitttany Lions are in a tied tenth place position along with Minnesota. Both teams finished the first day of the tournament with a score of 648.

Senior Maggie Lester is currently in a tied 17th place after she shot nine-over 81 in the first round and five-over 77 in the second round. Lester has a two round score of 158. Senior Evelyn Paik is only five shots behind Lester with a score of 163.

Michigan State is in first place after the first day of the competition with a two-round score of 600. Purdue is 17 strokes behind with a score of 617.

The Big Ten Tournament will continue on Saturday, April 28 and conclude on Sunday, April 29.
