COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 24, 2004) - Sophomore Amber Weinerth (Auburn, N.Y.) jumped five spots in the individual standings with a third-round score of 2-over-par 74 to lead the Penn State women's golf team to a 10th-place standing with 313-319-316-948 Saturday at the Big Ten Women's Championship.

Indiana jumped one spot to take the lead with 308-297-299-904 at the Scarlet Course on the campus of Ohio State. The Buckeyes (301-299-306-906) are second, Purdue (305-310-303-918) is third, Michigan (312-305-308-925) is fourth and Wisconsin (306-305-315-926) rounds out the Top 5.

Michigan State (304-317-307-928) sits in sixth place, Northwestern (313-305-316-934) is seventh, Iowa (311-312-313-936) is eighth, Illinois (312-313-318-943) is ninth and Minnesota (327-317-327-971) is 11th.

Sophomore Katrin Wolfe (Johnstown, Pa.) shot an 80 for the Nittany Lions on Saturday and is tied for 31st in the standings with 78-80-80-238. Junior Nicole Love (Greensburg, Pa.), who is competing in her first varsity event, is tied for 46th with 75-87-82-244, freshman Maggie Lester (Oswego, N.Y.) is 49th with 84-82-80-246, freshman Evelyn Paik (Toronto, Ontario) is 55th with 82-82-85-249 and sophomore Lauren Lundy (Wayne, Pa.) is 61st with 85-84-83-252.

The Championship will conclude with one more round beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday.
