STATE COLLEGE, Pa. ¨C April 23, 2003 ¨C The Penn State Women¡¯s Golf team will be traveling to the University of Iowa this weekend to compete in the Big Ten Championships at the Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, Iowa.

Coach Denise St. Pierre¡¯s team is ranked No. 43 by the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. Penn State enters the championships as the sixth highest ranked Big Ten team in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin poll. The Nittany Lions are looking to improve upon their eighth place finish from last year.

The championship is set to begin on Friday, April 25, with tee times on Friday at 8:00 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Results will be available on www.GoPSUsports.com and www.finkbine.com throughout the competition.
