Weather Causes First Round Cancellation of Indiana Invitational

CARMEL, In.; April 9, 2007- Due to the weather, the Indiana Invitational, which was supposed to consist of two rounds on Monday and one round on Tuesday, was shortened to two total rounds. After one round of the tournament, the Nittany Lions are currently in 17 th place with a score of 39- over 327.

Junior Christin Pacacha shot seven-over to 79 to lead the team. Senior Maggie Lester is two strokes behind with a score of nine-over 81. Evelyn Paik, Katherine Murphy, and Megan Padua are also competing in the tournament as park of the Nittany Lion team.

Michigan State is currently in first place with a score of 11-over 299. Illionois holds second place with a score of 16-over 304. Individually, Suel Ki Park of Illinois is in first place. Park is the only competitor to shoot par in the first round.

The second and final round of the Indiana Invitational will be held tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
